탈북학생과 남한학생의 과목별 학업성적 이동성과 영향요인
이 연구는 탈북학생과 남한학생의 학업성적 이동성을 비교·분석하여 탈북학생의 학업 성취 향상을 위한 교육지원방안을 도출하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이 연구에서는 Shorrocks 측도와 Khor-Pencavel 측도를 활용하여 탈북학생과 남한학생의 학업성적 이 동성 지수를 산출하였으며, X2 검정에 의해 과목별 성적이동성 영향요인을 분석하였다. 연구결과에 의하면 탈북학생은 상대적으로 국어 성적이 가장 우수하고 영어 성적이 가장 부진하였다. 성적이동성은 남한학생과 탈북학생 모두 수학과목이 가장 크고 국어 와 영어 과목의 이동성은 작았다. 이동거리를 고려하지 않은 이동성은 탈북학생이 남 한학생보다 세 과목 모두 작았으나 이동거리를 고려한 이동성은 탈북학생이 남한학생 보다 세 과목 모두 컸다. 탈북학생의 수학성적에는 아버지 학력, 학업격려, 학원 사교 육 등 3개 변수가 유의한 영향이 있었으나 탈북학생의 국어와 영어 성적에는 남한학생 대상 선행연구에서 유의한 설명력을 가지는 것으로 보고된 변수들의 영향이 없었다. 연구결과에 따라 탈북학생 대상 저학년 영어와 고학년 수학과목의 학습지원 필요성 이 지적되었다. 또한, 탈북학생들의 효과적인 학업지원을 위해서는 남한학생들과 다른 것으로 나타난 탈북학생의 학업성취 영향요인 탐색 연구가 선행되어야 할 필요성이 제 기되었다.
Academic Mobility and Influential Factors for North Korean Refugee Students and South Korean Students
The purpose of this study was to compare the academic performance mobility of North Korean refugee(NK) students and South Korean(SK) students. Shorrocks measure and Khor-Pencavel measure were used to calculate the mobility, and chi-square test was conducted to analyze factors influencing academic mobility. NK students exhibited relatively higher proficiency in Korean but lower performance in English compared to SK students. Both groups demonstrated the highest academic mobility in Math. When considering mobility without accounting for distance, NK students displayed lower mobility in all three subjects compared to SK students. However, when accounting for distance, NK students showed higher mobility in all three subjects. Father's education level, parent’s academic encourgement, and shadow education had significant impact on the performance of Math, while Korean and English performance were unaffected by any variables considered in this research. The study pointed the need for academic support in English for early grades and Math in higher grades for NK students. Additionally, further research was suggested to explore the influencing factors of academic performance mobility for NK students.
